Welcome To Soulcraft Journals

we create analog recording devices for those with a passion for creating, building, and doing. Each of our journals are built as a specific tool for a given purpose or craft.

Our flagship journal and the kickstart to Soulcraft Journals.

As the owner and builder of a 40-year old motorcycle, I need to keep track of a lot of numbers, dates, and ideas. I found that I had notes strewn across multiple locations, i.e., my smart phone, shop manual, and random pieces of paper. I needed a place to keep track of oil changes, cylinder compression, chain tensioner ideas, wiring, as well as a number of other things I always think I’ll remember. Using my phone or computer with grubby hands wasn’t always an option. Plus, I like to be able to work out an issue or idea through sketches, on my workbench or on the road.

Besides keeping track of things, I needed a quick reference guide for measurement conversions that weren’t used enough to memorize. I also needed something that I could carry with me on trips, or when I was riding around trying out different carburetor jets.

Do you use a Moto Memo and wish it had a feature? Let us know… Send some feedback.

The Photo Memo is for people who don’t or haven’t picked up a camera as much as they’d like. It was designed as an analog aid to throw in your bag or back pocket to help build your photography skills and passion. With a dozen project spreads, thirty pages of FUK (Frequently Used Knowledge), and a bunch of dot grid spaces for ideas, you’ll be well equipped to hit the streets.

With The Photo Memo you’ll be able to keep track of all the things you think you’ll remember later, like settings, locations, new ideas, etc. Then you’ve just got one place to look when you need to recall something. The FUK pages will keep you from searching around the web for answers and in the moment.

The DOER is 50% goal planner and 50% sketchbook. I was carrying around two books. One was a goal / day planner and the other was a sketchbook. Toting around two books while riding my bicycle to the office added extra weight and I was only using about 1/3rd of the goal planner anyhow. What I really needed was one book to accomplish both tasks.

By combining the most useful sections of a goal planner with the openness of a dot-grid sketchbook, I now have the perfect tool for organizing my day, as well as capturing all the ideas I accumulate along the way. I have a feeling you’ll appreciate the combo, as well.
